The Downtown Muscatine Holiday Stroll is once again upon us!

The 34th Annual Holiday Stroll takes place this Friday Dec 7 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Downtown Muscatine. 2nd Street from Pine Street to Mulberry Avenue will be closed off for visitors and shoppers to experience some Muscatine holiday cheer!

The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a tree lighting ceremony at the First National Bank Plaza (300 E 2nd St.). The fun continues throughout the evening with in-store specials, hot cocoa, singing, dancing, music and holiday displays.

The Merrill Hotel & Conference Center (119 W Mississippi Drive) will be welcoming Santa and Mrs. Claus in the lobby. Stop by and get those last-minute Christmas wish lists to Santa. The Pearl City Life Riders will also be in attendance. They will be hosting a coat drive for Jessica Faye’s Closet at Pearl City Outreach. In addition, they will be stationed outside Stigma Tattoo (106 E 2nd St.) handing serving free hot cocoa and snacks.

The Muscatine Parks and Recreation will also hold its annual Candy Cane Hunt during the Holiday Stroll. Families will gather at the riverfront for kids to gather candy canes in the dark, which they can then turn in for prizes.
