Are you an Amateur Radio fan? Interested in what the hype is all about? Then this event is for you!

The River City Amateur Radio Swap Meet is happening this Sunday May 6 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Muscatine Mall (1903 Park Avenue Muscatine). Admission to this event is FREE!

Indoor tables for this event are only $10 and all include electricity.

Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the Internet or cell phones. It’s fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need.

The Muscatine County ARES team is now sponsoring amateur radio license testing, as well. There will be a testing at 2 p.m. in the River City Promotions Office (1109 1st Avenue Muscatine). For more information, go to http://www.muscatinearc.org/testing.

Whether you are a long-time Amateur Radio user or an interested beginner, don’t miss the River City Amateur Radio Swap Meet this weekend!
