FYI, It’s EMT Day

It’s never a bad idea to brush up on safety. Bring the whole family out to Blain’s Farm & Fleet this weekend to do just that!

Saturday May 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. you are invited to EMT/Child Safety Day at Blain’s Farm & Fleet (3300 N Highway 61 Muscatine).

Come enjoy ambulances, fire trucks, the Medforce helicopter, Muscatine Search and Rescue vehicles and more! The kids will be able to get those very important Child I.D. photos and fingerprints. ‘Dogs for Pet Safety’ from the Performance Class of the Canine Activity Center of Muscatine will be hanging out, as well.  There will be even be a Muskie bounce house!

New to this year’s EMT/Child Safety Day is a ‘storm house’, courtesy of the Fruitland Fire Department. The unforgettable smokehouse will also be onsite, thanks to the West Liberty Fire Department.

Also bring your bicycles to be inspected for safety at the Farmers Market at Third and Cedar Streets from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The Melon City Bike Club and Greg Harper (Harper’s Cycling and Fitness) will be on hand to check the safety of your bikes. Grab a free bike helmet, while supplies last!

Don’t miss out on this very important and fun-filled day!
