If you are looking for an evening filled with soothing symphonic music, then look no further than the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra’s rendition of Joseph Haydn’s “The Creation” this weekend.

Saturday Apr 14 at 7:30 p.m. the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra, RiverChor of Clinton, the Muscatine Civic Chorale and soloists will be combining vocal and instrumental forces to bring to life Joseph Haydn’s “The Creation”. The concert will take place at the Muscatine Center for Performing Arts (Central Middle School Auditorium) at 901 Cedar Street Muscatine.

“The Creation” is an oratorio by Austrian composer Joseph Haydn dating from April 1798. It was inspired by Handel’s Messiah and Israel in Egypt, which Haydn had heard while visiting England.
