Stop by Boonie’s this Monday night to help a great cause!

Riding for Success will be holding a fundraiser night at Boonie’s On the Avenue (214 Iowa Avenue Muscatine) this Monday Nov 5 at 5 p.m.

Thanks to the support of the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, Riding for Success recently obtained a brand-new Hippolib saddle to assist riders who need core support.  And now you can help raise more money so Riding for Success is able to keep broadening thier range of equipment available to help riders and the scholarships that are available to any of their current or new riders!

Riding for Success uses therapeutic riding as a means of physical and mental therapy. Certified instructors use the horse as a therapy tool. The horse’s gait is very similar to a human’s stride. The movement of the horse is used to influence the rider’s posture, balance, function, and sensory processing. For some riders, it is the first time they have been able to feel what walking is like. Instructors individualize lessons to meet the needs of every student, incorporating life skills and goals in a motivational setting.
