Looking for a fun-filled day this Saturday while helping a fellow community member in need?

Make plans to stop by the VFW Post 1565 (1415 Grandview Avenue Muscatine) this Saturday Sep 15 for a Scavenger Hunt Benefitting Chris “Cowboy” Whitmer.

Chris “Cowboy” Whitmer is a veteran who was recently in a near-fatal motorcycle crash. Cowboy’s friends and supporters have come together to help raise some funds to help him throughout his recovery.

Whether you are on a bike or in your car, all are welcome to join in on the fun. Cost is $15 per bike/car and $10 per passenger. Registration is from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the VFW. Enjoy a biscuits and gravy breakfast (donations appreciated) throughout the registration timeframe.

From 12 – 4:30 p.m. the Scavenger Hunt through Muscatine will commence. Each paid participant will receive 1 Scavenger Hunt paper. The top 3 teams that find the most items will receive a cash prize.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Head back to the VFW for a silent auction, raffle, dinner (donations appreciated) and music from a DJ from 5-9 p.m.!

Any community members wanting to make a donation, please contact Eric Palmer at (319) 212-1530 or Sara Palmer at (319) 640-8985.
