Celebrate the Romance in the Air in Muscatine this Weekend

There’s no doubt romance is in the air this time of year. Celebrate your love with this amazing event.

Muscatine Symphony Orchestra and Geneva Golf & Country Club have joined forces to bring Muscatine a Delicious Combination Dinner & Concert this Saturday Feb 16.

Dinner will take place at Geneva Golf & Country Club (3100 Bidwell Road Muscatine) from 5 – 6:30 p.m. The evening will then continue with a romantic concert, performed by the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra, at Central Middle School (901 Cedar St. Muscatine) at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.).

Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between CMS and Geneva. The first departure from the school to the country club will be at 4:50 p.m. and the last shuttle from the country club to the school will be at 7:10 p.m.

The Muscatine Symphony Orchestra will bring you MasterWorks III: “Romance is in the Air”. The annual Delicious Combinations dinner and concert event will be one that celebrates the vast history of the musical stage. From Broadway to the silver screen to the modern television, musicals have been a vehicle to share adventure, comedy and of course love stories.

The evening will be full of musical hits from some of the greatest composers of stage of the 20th century. Works by George and Ira Gershwin, Lerner and Lowe, and Andrew Lloyd-Webber will be showcased along-side Grease, Les Miserables, and some of MGM’s greatest hits.
