A new exhibition is heading to the Muscatine Art Center, and you won’t want to miss this one.

An Opening Reception for ‘Mauricio Lasansky’, the Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Rayburn Collection, will be happening at the Muscatine Art Center (1314 Mulberry Ave Muscatine) this Sunday Jun 24 from 1-5 p.m.

After 50 years of collecting art, Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Rayburn have transitioned their collection to several art museums, including the Muscatine Art Center.

This exhibition follows the career of Mauricio Lasansky, an intaglio artist who established the school of printmaking at the University of Iowa. The exhibition captures four decades of work by Lasansky and examples of prints and sculpture created by his sons, William, Tomas, and Leonardo. Mauricio Lasansky is represented in the exhibition, Pulled, Pressed and Screened: Important American Prints, also on view from May 26 – Jul 22.
